End-to-End Encryption
All messages encrypted on your device before they ever touch the network. Only intended recipients can decrypt. Not even relay operators can read your messages.
// 01 — About
Undertown is a decentralized, encrypted messaging application. Groups and subscriptions are managed on the blockchain via smart contracts. Messages flow through a P2P relay network (libp2p/QUIC) with end-to-end encryption. Users keep full custody of their keys through a non-custodial wallet.

// 02 — Features
[F-01]
All messages encrypted on your device before they ever touch the network. Only intended recipients can decrypt. Not even relay operators can read your messages.
[F-02]
Messages route through a decentralized relay mesh using libp2p and QUIC. No central server to compromise, subpoena, or shut down.

Every group is a smart contract. Membership, access control, and governance live on-chain. Join or deploy your own group contract.
[F-04]
Your keys, your control. The wallet is embedded in the application. No third party ever holds your private keys. You are your own bank.
[F-05]
Built-in MCP (Model Context Protocol) server. Connect AI agents like Claude directly to your Undertown node. Automate messaging, manage groups, or build bots.
[F-06]
Identity derived from your wallet — no email, no phone number, no registration. Cryptographic keypairs define who you are on the network.
// 03 — How It Works
The app generates a wallet and cryptographic keypair on your device. Your identity lives in a local encrypted session file. Run undertown and create a password.
Each group is a smart contract on the blockchain. Deploy your own group contract to own it, or join an existing one by having your address approved by the group owner.
Write a message. Your app encrypts it, signs the payload, and sends it through the P2P relay network. Only group members with the right keys can decrypt it.
